1 Policy Overview

Only Africa ("we," "us," or "our") respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (DMCA), we will respond expeditiously to claims of copyright infringement committed using our service that are reported to our Designated Copyright Agent identified below.

We reserve the right to terminate user accounts that are repeat infringers of intellectual property rights. This policy is intended to implement the procedures set forth in 17 U.S.C. § 512 and the DMCA.

2 DMCA Takedown Notice Requirements

To file a valid DMCA notice, you must provide the following information in writing:

4 Counter-Notification Procedure

If you believe that material you posted on Only Africa was removed or access to it was disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notification with us. To be effective, your counter-notification must include:

  • Your physical or electronic signature
  • Identification of the material that has been removed or disabled and the location where it appeared
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed due to mistake or misidentification
  • Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or any judicial district if outside the U.S.)

Note: Upon receiving a valid counter-notification, we will forward it to the party who submitted the original claim of copyright infringement. If they do not file a court action against you within 10 business days, we may restore the removed content.

5 Repeat Infringer Policy

It is our policy in appropriate circumstances to disable and/or terminate the accounts of users who are repeat infringers. We also reserve the right to disable access to our service by any user who is deemed to be using our platform in violation of copyright law, regardless of whether a formal DMCA notice has been filed.

Our legal team reviews the notice for completeness and validity under DMCA requirements.

3. Action (48-72 hours)
